North Somerset Draft Local Plan

North Somerset Council has proposed the allocation of our site in its Submission version of the Local Plan. The Council’s proposals remove the site from the Green Belt to deliver around 100 new homes.

Whilst the Local Plan is still to be examined, the proposals it contains are supported by a substantial body of evidence and so carries increasing influence as the new plan progresses towards adoption.

Our Proposal

In response to the Council’s Plan, Waddeton Park is currently in the process of working up an outline planning application for a sustainable, landscape-led development of 100 high-quality new homes and space for a new care home at Land at Pill Road, Pill.

In advance of submission, we would like to consult the local community to ensure where possible local views are taken into account.

Our proposals will increase the areas of open space available to the existing community by including a new village green, significant new Public Open Space, and additional areas of native woodland. New foot and cycle paths will connect residents to the surrounding village and countryside.

The aim is to ensure the development delivers much needed housing and affordable housing, as well as access to extensive green spaces for the community, and becomes a high-quality, sustainable community that positively enhances Pill as a place to live for both current and future residents.
